NED #10

I did not seek this never expected deed out, it found me at 1:30AM. I was in the dead of sleep, when I heard a knock on my door. I answered the door and it was two new neighbors. They had locked themselves out of their apartment. They also locked their phones and shoes in there as well. They had no idea what they were going to do. I was quickly annoyed, but became conscious of my negative attitude and thought about what I would like someone to do for me. I let them use my phone to call a locksmith, allowed them to have the locksmith call back on my phone, and offered them a place to wait. They had to meet the locksmith at the store right next to the building but were without shoes. I gave them a pair of my shoes to wear and a sweatshirt. They were very grateful. I have been those girls in a situation or two, where you are at a loss of what to do, and have to rely on strangers to help. I did not give them a NED card because frankly, by the time they left it was 3 AM and I had to work at 6AM, and remembering to lock the door behind me was about all I could accomplish that night.

NED # 9

It is never too late to send thank-you cards. I finally got my Christmas thank-yous written yesterday. I came across this idea to send a random person a letter via snail-mail telling them how great they were. I love getting mail that isn't a bill or advertisement so I figured someone else would too. I wrote a simple little note, picked a name randomly from the phone book and sent it on its little way with the NED card. Hopefully, they will not think they have a stalker.

I have many friends who have babies. I am always amazed at the crazy prices they have to pay for their little ones. I had a few high dollar value coupons for baby formula, so for my NED number 8, I taped them to the containers at the store. It should save them $10 on a necessity!

There is nothing like popcorn with your movie. For my never expected deed (NED) number 7 I taped a package of microwave popcorn to the Redbox that I normally rent movies from. Hope they enjoy their popcorn!

NED # Six

One of the things that gets me through working full-time and going to school full-time is good old fashioned Mt. Dew. I really should just have an iv put in and take it intravenously. Today my NED was to pay for someone else's caffeine fix. I left the money in the machine and taped my card to the machine.
